How it Works

Initial Setup

To get started with Informia, first define some basic information about the stakeholders, groups of stakeholders, and contributors. All of this information is managed within the Company Manager module of the software.

investor update
  • Define the company's investments

  • Create a list of stakeholders who will receive the updates

  • Specify the contributors who will be providing input to the investor updates

Managing Updates

An update is the regular status report that is sent to your stakeholders. The content for each update is broken down into sections and each section is assigned a responsible contributor.

Managing updates

  • Create an update from a template, an existing update, or start from scratch.

  • Specify the report layout, responsible users, and time-frame for publishing.

  • Define the update sections and responsible contributors.

  • Provide a series of "prompts", or questions, that will make it easy for the contributor complete their section.

Making Contributions

Contributors can log into the software at any time but in most cases they will know that an update is waiting for their input by receiving an automatic email reminder from the software. The email will inform them of what report sections they are responsible for and provide a link that takes them to the hosted application where they can begin responding to prompts.

organizational reporting

  • Prompted by email alerts, contributors will log in to Informia's software to provide information on their assigned section.

  • Contributors work through a series of prompts, or questions, which help them easily create the content for their section.

Editing the Update

After contributors have submitted their responses, the editor can review them and make any changes necessary to improve grammar, spelling, content, or writing style. This step is optional and specified when the update is defined. The editor can be someone inside the company or a contract editor provided by Informia.

project reporting
  • The editor can easily switch between the original response and their edited content for the update.

Publishing the Update

Once all editing has been completed the person who is responsible for the Update can review the content and make any final changes that might be required.

  • The responsible user can review each section individually or preview the entire update at once.

  • Confirm the recipients for the update.

  • Names can be unchecked or additional names added as needed.

  • The completed update is emailed to stakeholders as a PDF or posted to the StakeholderPortal.
